At Lakeside Clubhouse, we see people first by their individuality and not their illness. We know that those living with mental illness have goals, skills, and value. Here, they can be supported in building relationships, finding resources, developing skills, and setting goals to live a fuller life.

Meeting Unmet Needs

With 1 in 25 people living with severe or debilitating mental illness, Lakeside Clubhouse is a space created by and for members to address needs not found in the medical model. Lakeside Clubhouse addresses the need for social connection, progress toward life goals in education and employment, and a greater purpose.

High Standards

As a program of Cherry Health, Lakeside Clubhouse serves the Clubhouse International model. 

​What does that mean for our members? Membership is voluntary and without time limits. Membership is open to anyone with a history of mental illness and seeking a place to call their own in their pursuit of connection and opportunity. And we're supported by a worldwide non-profit that continues to push us forward.

Transitional Employment

Members and staff work side-by-side to lift each member’s talents, both within and outside of Lakeside Clubhouse through transitional employment. These positions through the West Michigan area are a bridge into the workforce, allowing members to add to their experience and build the confidence needed to re-enter the workforce at a larger capacity.
